We went in for our halfway ultrasound today. One of the best parts of it was that MeritCare no longer requires a full bladder. It was quite a different experience that way, I'll tell you!
Here's what the technician told us:
Our baby is one ounce bigger than a can of Diet Coke.
Our baby is due in 19 weeks and 1 day.
Our baby is a boy.
Our baby is a girl.
Tee-hee! Did you really think we'd find out?
Here are a few snippets of conversation from the tech and the Dad-to-be-again:
Eric: "So....[obviously just making casual conversation]...just out of curiosity, have YOU been able to tell what sex it it?"
Tech: "Oh, yes, it was easy to tell."
Eric: "Oh."
[PAUSE...PAUSE]
Eric: "So is it usually easier to tell a boy than a girl?"
Tech: [Laughing] "Are you trying to do some detective work, Dad?"
He was.
