The Nest Is Ready

Here is how I spent my day (up until the part where I pushed a 31-pound toddler in a stroller up a very steep hill, threatening my water under my breath that I was going to break it if it took all night. It was completely unconcerned.)

• I vacuumed down the basement stairs for the first time since we closed on our home.
• I rearranged every piece of furniture in Abby's room and organized her closet.
• I went around the living room perimeter with the vacuum hose and even sucked up the crackers I'd been pretending not to notice under the couch.
• I cleaned out our linen closet.
• I organized our freezer room.
• I scrubbed the bathroom vanity and faucet with a toothbrush.

You just have to understand that I am NOT THAT PARTICULAR about cleaning. So all that fuss had better have been nesting.

And now the nest is ready.
