The appeal of the quarter machines around town have prompted me to say on several occasions, "Abby, we need to have a money lesson."
Yesterday we made the time to actually do it.
Wielding a screw driver, we broke into Abby's pig that sits on her dresser and sorted out quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies. I tried to do the whole this equals that lesson, but Abby didn't have the attention span. So we just took turns making up games with the money instead.
At the end Abby put all of the coins back into the pig and said dismissively of the dollars, "You-you can have all of these. 'Cause 'cause - 'cause you are a good mommy."
Yes! I took them straight to the BK drive-thru and drank them up.
